Dream Big
‘Live your dreams!’
they say
(with exclamation marks)
‘Reach for the moon,
at least you’ll
fall
among the stars!’
And I did.
Really.
I did.
Clinging persistently
like a lady to her illicit lover
- to what was
never hers
to begin with.
And so I fell.
Not among the stars
like they said,
but
face first
in the bloody grass.

its good to dream...n yeah realli big always but sometimes u gotta c life as a lotus......it has lots of sybolism attached to it- new life and death! Although I like how it is seen as having its roots in the mud and the muck and as it grows through all that muck it eventually opens & grows to reveal a beautiful flower; and thats d best part of it... Read More...no matter how dark or hard... life can be sometimes...at d end its justta experience and its the hardest times that really make u stronger..trust me ive gone through it and come out enlightened so why cant u or anyone for that matter...keep smiling....keep writing...keep dreamin...cheers

No. I am right. My way makes more sense. The moon comes BEFORE the stars. So it is logical to assume you will land on the moon if you go for the stars :P
Jerry, logic is not applicable in poetic license. Its a nauseatingly chirpy quote pretty widely known. I'm just saying it like I've heard it. :P
